Meet the Team: Ali Franetich

Welcome to a new blog segment: Meet the Team! Once a month we'll interview a SiteCrafting team member so you can get to know them a little better. Our first interviewee is Ali Franetich, Project Coordinator.
So what exactly does a Project Coordinator do?I act as the bridge between clients and developers. This is important so every client can have a consistent customer service experience. I also make sure projects stay on track and that communication lines are always open. I love face to face time with people so this is a really great job for me.
What’s your favorite SiteCrafting project or program?I love working on Gear Grants. Twice a year SiteCrafting donates design and development time to non-profits in need of a website. Being part of the Gear Grant process, I get to go on tours and take a look behind the scenes of some really wonderful organizations. I’ve worked with YWCA of Spokane and Lutherhaven Ministries. I love getting to see how excited people are to receive a Gear Grant.
Tell me more about YOU.I love to be outside in the sun, whether I’m going on a hike or taking a mini road trip. I recently moved to Seattle from Spokane so I’ve been exploring my new neighborhood. I love spending time with family and friends and I still make plenty of trips back to Spokane to visit.
Would you like to share any hidden talents or special skills?Ha! I wouldn’t call it a special skill but when I attended college at Pacific Lutheran University I participated in dance ensemble. Here’s a video of one of the performances.

Meet the Team: Phil Price

Welcome to a new blog segment: Meet the Team! Once a month we'll interview a SiteCrafting team member so you can get to know them a little better. Our second interviewee is Phil Price, Senior Web Developer.
What does a Senior Web Developer do?I’m in charge of putting together solutions and implementing them with a team.
What’s been your favorite project so far?I really enjoyed working on the North Coast Lighting site. I got to build it exactly the way I wanted. It’s strong and expandable and really built for long term use. It can grow as the store grows. It was really challenging in terms of learning all the different elements of lighting and how to build that into the site and make it all searchable but I really liked the project.
What do you like about working at SiteCrafting?I like the people I work with; I have very high quality coworkers. I also like the vetting process we use for clients and ideas to make sure we’re always working on quality projects.
Tell us about your professional background.I did web development in Seattle for a couple years before moving back to Tacoma. I also did audio production for Dead Gentlemen Productions (a local filmmaking group) and will keep doing it if they start paying me! [laughs]
Current hobbies?I love writing music. I been working with synthesizers and drum machines to create music at home. I also play the drums with a couple different groups.
In your team bio you claim to be able to juggle three of anything. Care to prove it?
